Our Labor Day weekend was full of so much fun! We had family in town and planned lots of fun events for the long weekend. Since Fall is just around the corner we took our guests to one of the funnest things to do in Michigan during the fall….we went to the Cider Mill!

Our Cider Mill has so many fun things to do. Our first stop was to get hot fresh apple cider and cider donuts. We then went through a corn maze (and got a little lost), hay ride, train ride and mining for gems. This was such a perfect day except for the fact that I was having difficulty breathing…. apparently I had a pretty severe case of bronchitis (fighting it for 2 weeks) that sent me straight to urgent care after we left. My oxygen sats were in the 80’s at rest and they gave me a big ole steroid shot and a breathing treatment to help me out. So that explains why I am looking so rough in the third picture…I was just trying not to pass out, lol. It didn’t help that we got lost in a very extensive (but fun) corn maze.  In the back of my mind I was thinking someone might have to carry my out since I could not seem to get any deep breaths in.  But I can’t show the kids that I a quitter so I went with fake it till’ you make it…and survived the corn maze.  I have never been so happy to get back onto a hay ride! Now, that I have shared a little mom life realness, don’t forget to plan a weekend to a local cider mill, farm or pumpkin patch for fall (but don’t go with bronchitis).  These are the memories that will last a lifetime and there is way too much fun to be had out on a country farm and or cider mill.
