Disney World Vacation, Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

I just returned from one of my favorite Disney World Trips yet!  Disney World is such a magical place but can be very frustrating if you do not plan the trip with a little bit of effort prior to your stay.   I have stayed at many of the Disney Resorts but this resort stay was my all time fav!!! We stayed in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Villas and it was pretty perfect.

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, is a newer addition to the Grand Floridian designed with a Mary Poppins and Victorian Era feel.  These Villas  are located next to the white-sand shores of Seven Seas Lagoon, have a beautiful pool with a giant waterfall, water slide and kids water playground.  A huge plus for us (with small kids) was that the monorail  is easily assessable from the villas to take you to the Magic Kingdom Park.  You can also access Epcot via the monorail but you will need to board a two different monorails to get there.  The villas also offer various world-class amenities available at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. So if Magic Kingdom is your main go-to park, you love beaches, beautiful pools, elegance and the spa…this may be your resort.

Oh and I can’t forget to mention how amazing some of the Cast members are at the Gasparilo grill. We met two Cindy and Cat who treated us so wonderful and put in a lot of effort and love to make sure my two boys felt right at home.

These were my go to shoes for DISNEY! They are super light, comfortable and very affordable. These shoes are the most sold item on my LiketoKnow.it app right now. Click below to see them!

Next time we go back to this beautiful resort I will actually plan to spend more time at the resort just relaxing with my family and making memories. This trip went by way too fast. So if you are planning a trip and want to visit each park I would say plan on at least 5 days to a week. With small kids I take them to the park in the mornings until lunch. We either eat at the park with reservations we made previously or return to the resort for lunch. It was so nice to get lunch at Gasparilla grill and let my boys run around and unwind outside the restaurant. Each time we dined here we sat beachside and then returned to the villas for naps. While my boys are resting or napping I unpack and re-pack my Disney day bag, get everyone fresh clothes and get ready for our late afternoon outing to the park. I love it this way!  It is an extra step but I feel like my boys need the rest rather than staying in the park all day.

This was one of my favorite outfits at Disney! I loved wearing the bright colors and this whole look was super comfortable.

There was one day we had no plans for the morning so we went to the resort beach and pool and it was fantastic! We made some fun memories and when I think back on the trip this is actually what I miss most about it.
