Magic Kingdom

We go to Disney World just about every year. I usually run one of the half marathons when I go but this trip was strictly for spending time with my boys and having a great time with no exercise expectations. My boys love Magic Kingdom so much! If you read my previous post or follow me on Instagram ( @paigecrawford__)  you know it was easy to get to Magic Kingdom since we stayed at the Grand Floridian. It is either a monorail or short boat ride away.

UPDATE: I am currently planning my next Disney vacation 2019 so stay tuned!

Because I am all about making a vacation easy but fun. I dove right into the Minnie Mouse theme! So here are a few outfit inspirations for Disney! I wore all of these this trip. I was really feeling the cut offs vibe. But my favorite accessory was my fanny pack! Don’t judge, I wore these back in the 90’s when I went to Disney and there is no reason to stop now. 😉

Click the pics below to shop my looks! These shorts are reasonably priced and I loved wearing them on the trip.

The rides that were at the top of our list that we got fast passes for are:  The Barnstormer (kiddie coaster), Dumbo, The great adventure of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan Ride, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain for the Adults.

My son’s favorite ride was Barnstomer. Here is our Barnstormer Selfie!

If you have never been to Disney keep this in mind, this park always seems to have the biggest crowds. So when we visit we always get there as the park is opening.  We try to coordinate with magic park hours open only to those staying at the Disney resorts. This is also the park where we usually plan to get a few family photos. This year we bought the photo pass. It is $150 and you get all the photos that Disney photographers take of you at the photo stations for your stay. So if you don’t mind coughing up the extra money, it’s a great way to get some great pics.

I can not stress enough how important it is to use the Disney app to help plan your stay. The app has a map feature, fast pass scheduler, you can make reservations and so on. With the fast passes once you use your scheduled pass you can then schedule another fast pass. On that note, if you ever see the words “magical experience” in the fast pass feature, this means that you can use it at any ride as a fast pass (this is not the case for any Pandora rides at animal kingdom).  We had this pop up on the app the first day and we didn’t use it because we had no clue what it was.

This year is the first year we tried the Nutella waffle. It was pretty good if you like a sugar rush for breakfast. If you want one of these stay to the left of the castle and you will see a waffle station, you can get the Nutella fruit waffle there.

We did the Pirates League again this year. My boys were so excited about it! My two-year old was to young so he just watched and we got him a hat and sword before we left. This experience was priceless.

Gaston’s Tavern has fruit and cheese plates if you want something along the more natural snack route….but they also have really yummy cinnamon rolls. I wasn’t in to the frozen drink they serve. It takes like frozen apple juice. The ham and cheese strudel was my favorite snack here.  Gaston’s tavern is a cute little place to eat a bite if you are wanting snack type foods. Personally Beauty and the Beast is my favorite so I was all about it.  In my opinion Epcot and Disney Springs have the best food so when we eat at Magic Kingdom we tend to snack and eat light meals. We save our reservations for other parks. On the Magic Kingdoms days I always took the boys back to the resort to rest so we would just grab lunch at the resort’s Gasparilla grill or poolside dining. Eating lunch with less of a crowd made day much more pleasant.
