Pure Michigan Family Getaway

If there is one thing I have learned about Michigan since moving here is that it has some of the most beautiful and breathtaking best kept secrets!  So, if you are the outdoorsy type and want to travel to a beautiful place that is not overly crowded make sure to add Michigan to your bucket list.

If you follow me on Instagram (@paigecrawford__) then you may have seen some of these photos in my sponsored Google Photos book post.  You can still see how I put all these photos in my book on my instastory highlights under Michigan as well as some videos from our trip. You can shop the looks and travel gear from this post in this blog post or the LIKEtoKNOW.it website or app. Search Paige Crawford and make sure to follow for weekly posts.

One of my favorite things about this trip was the beauty and relaxation that Northern Michigan has to offer. Our trip lead us to Torch Lake, Mackinaw Island, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Traverse City and Sleeping Bear dunes.

Below is a map of the lower Peninsula of Michigan and the destinations we visited.

         Torch Lake

       Mackinaw Island

     Sleeping Bear Dunes

Torch lake is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.  The water has more of a Caribbean look during the day and some breathtaking sunsets at night. During the day the water looks more like bath water than lake water. We did not have any particular plans when visiting Torch lake. We mainly just drove around and stopped at different docks..and it didn’t dissapoint. We also ate at some little restaurants near the water.  So a visit to Torch lake is based around water activities and just taking in the views.

Hope you enjoyed seeing our little trip to Torch Lake! Make sure and check out my next post about our AMAZING time at Mackinaw Island!
